Senior Java Developer (Ljubljana)
Join Open Line Vitaly, previously known as Parsek! We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our team in Ljubljana. You'll be an integral part of our mission to develop, deliver, and maintain our core suite of products, serving both current and future customers.
The job: We develop complex web applications integrated with healthcare IT systems, adhering to IHE and HL7 standards. Our goal is to provide a seamless, inspiring, and efficient experience for both healthcare professionals and patients. Our applications enhance collaboration and coordination of patient care beyond hospital walls, offering patients convenient access to care services and health information.
The team: You join our R&D team, reporting to the Head of Development, with content guidance from your team lead. We follow an agile methodology and highly value proactive, team-oriented individuals committed to project success. Our structured work environment includes daily and weekly meetings, and you will be actively involved in scrum procedures.
As a member of our team, you will:
- Develop and document enhancements to our solutions according to planned release scopes and timelines, adhering to company development processes and standards.
- Work independently on tasks from analysis and design through to documentation, implementation, and unit/integration testing.
- Proactively seek and propose optimizations for development processes and technologies.
You are a perfect fit if you have:
- A minimum of 7+ years’ experience in Java development
- Good knowledge of Java EE / Jakarta EE (CDI, JPA / Hibernate, etc)
- Experience with REST APIs, server- and client-side
- Experience working with relational databases
- Experience writing unit and integration tests
- Good knowledge of Git and Maven
- Good communication skills
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
It is considered a plus, if you have:
- Knowledge of HL7 FHIR or other IHE and HL7 Standards and profiles
- Knowledge of Ansible, Jenkins and Docker
- Experience with Keycloak, OpenID Connect, SAML 2
- Deep interest and broad knowledge in IT technologies with the ability to propose relevant to Open Line Vitaly's solutions
We offer:
Full-time employment for an indefinite period with 6 months trial period with structured onboarding process and mentorship. It is a hybrid role, requiring some days to be worked in the Ljubljana office while allowing remote work from home or another location on other days. Additionally, all employees are covered by collective health insurance, which provides quick access to and coverage for medical services not included in the public healthcare network.
