On March 23rd our medical consultant Julij Šelb was invited to hold a lecture at eNMD 2019 congress in Nice. The congress was about e-health in the field of neuromuscular diseases.

He presented the opportunities that e-health offers to patients affected by those diseases; from  video consultations to home tele-monitoring, telemedicine has been shown to be a safe and effective way of delivering health to patients with neuromuscular diseases.

Julij also briefly touched the subject of telemedicine (especially home tele-monitoring with tele-case management) in other diseases (cancer, hypertension, diabetes, heart failure, asthma …) where more and more evidence is showing significant health benefits that are obtained with such management.
